We strive to implement eco-friendly practices in almost every facet of our production. From the small local farmers we source our produce from, to the biodegradable packing peanuts we use in every package! 

Here's just a few ways we incorporate sustainability into our everyday operations:

* All products are packaged using fully recyclable (& some reusable!) glass jars, metal lids, and paper labels.

* We don't use any plastic in our shipping process. All products are secured and cushioned using crumbled kraft paper, corrugated rolls and boxes, biodegradable packing peanuts, and sealed with kraft paper tape!

* Our retail space doesn't (& hasn't ever!) use plastic bags. All in-store orders are packaged using recycled kraft bags. We also have a few reusable bags options available in-store for purchase.

* Ecommerce deliveries have a carbon footprint. That's why we support cutting-edge companies that remove carbon from the air. You may have noticed when browsing on our website the nifty little banner across the bottom of every page. We've partnered with Our Planet, to take a portion of every orders total and fund it back into Carbon Offsets. 

Here's how it works: For every order we receive, a formula is used to calculate the estimated shipping emissions. Based on those estimates, a portion of our revenue goes to carbon removal companies that have been vetted by scientists from Carbon Direct. Those companies use that money to remove however much carbon our shipments created. Any extra funds go toward the further development of carbon removal technologies.
